On the Vinkeveense Plassen
Like BUITENleven, Vinkeveen is surrounded by water. Water sports enthusiasts can therefore enjoy a wide range of water activities. At Buitenleven, you can hire your own boat or stand-up paddleboard. Set sail for the Vinkeeense lakes directly from your own camping spot. But if you want more action, excitement and speed, try water skiing, wakeboarding or flyboarding on the Vinkeveense lakes.
Sailing through the Fens
The Vinkeveense Plassen is well known to everyone. But just as beautiful are the waters around the Vinkeveense Plassen with winding rivers, which are also much quieter on a summer's day. From our campsite, you can sail to the Vinkeveense Plassen in 20 minutes via a beautiful nature route. Take a dip in the clearest swimming water in the Netherlands and enjoy your picnic lunch on one of the sandy beaches. Don't have your own boat? No problem, in addition to SUPs, Buitenleven also rents out boats. Sailing straight from your own camping spot, doesn't that sound wonderful?
Tip: Would you like to moor your own boat at your camping spot? Please note that the fixed bridge you will pass under is 1 metre high. So it is only suitable for small but nice boats. Reserve a spot for your boat in good time.
With the wind in one's sails
Sailing on the Vinkeveense Plassen is wonderful. Hoist the sails and sail at full speed across the lake or float gently on a jib between the sandy islands and jetties.

Diving in the clearest water in the Netherlands
Diving enthusiasts come from far and wide to enjoy the unique underwater world. The crystal-clear water is remarkable, offering a good chance of seeing pike, perch and schools of whitefish. The sunken English school bus is a popular diving object in the lakes.

Stand Up Paddling/SUP
From your camping spot, you can paddle to a beautiful piece of nature in just a few minutes, where you can find peace and quiet. If you are a more experienced paddler, discover the longer SUP routes in our ‘backyard’. Paddling on the Gagel, you will especially enjoy the beautiful nature and tranquillity, far from civilisation where motorised boat traffic is not permitted. Would you like to extend the route? Then go for the 8 km long Bijleveld route and enjoy the water birds and colourful plants in the peat meadow area. Stand Up Paddling is a sporty and relaxing way to discover the most beautiful water spots in Vinkeveen. A challenging activity that will make you fit and happy! Don't have your own SUP? No problem, Buitenleven offers a number of SUPs for hire.
Tip: Take an early trip at sunrise, enjoy the tranquillity of the rippling water and watch as it slowly gets light and the world awakens. A beautiful and relaxing start to your day.
Sup Yoga
Let yourself be surprised by the relaxing nature and tranquillity of the water during this yoga session. With a small group, you will relax on the water and work on your core, balance and flexibility.

Canoe
From the Buitenleven campsite, you can step straight into your canoe for a beautiful trip through the water-rich surroundings. Various canoe routes have been mapped out. We will be happy to provide you with more information.

Fishing
Fishing enthusiasts will be in their element. The Vinkeveense Plassen lakes and the adjacent polder area are teeming with pike, perch, carp and zander. Find a nice spot along the water's edge and enjoy the natural surroundings.

Water skiing, wakeboarding or flyboarding
