Sleeping in furnished accommodation
Would you like to spend a few days in the great outdoors but don’t have any camping equipment or simply don’t feel like searching for everything and taking it with you? Then stay in our fully furnished Bell tent or caravan.
Spend the night in our nostalgic SRV van
NEW at Buitenleven! An atmospheric tiny house in a real SRV van! This mobile shop drove through Waverveen for years, where mother Niesje did her shopping with the always service-oriented Van Veen brothers. Since they stopped in 2023, the van has been given a new lease of life.
Inside, you will find a cosy double room with box-spring beds, a double sofa bed, kitchenette, toilet and dining table. Outside, you can enjoy a veranda with a picnic bench. Showers are available in the adjacent sanitary building.
A unique piece of history to sleep in – compact, cosy and surprisingly comfortable.
Staying by the water
Wake up in the morning to the chirping of water birds and enjoy a delicious breakfast by the water’s edge. That’s how a relaxing day at the BUITENleven campsite begins. Cast a line, take a boat or canoe trip to the Vinkeveens lakes, take a dip in the water or go paddle boarding at sunset. That’s what we call enjoying outdoor and water life.
Camping in the countryside
Camping with sheep as neighbours makes you happy. These curious animals love to wish you good morning when you step outside. Sweeping views, passing cloudscapes, grass under your feet: that’s the charm of camping in the countryside. Set up your tent or caravan by the water or among the trees and enjoy the Vinkeveen outdoor life.
Grandpa Leo’s greenhouse
Grandpa Leo’s Greenhouse has been lovingly and respectfully restored. It is a historic but above all atmospheric place where you are subtly reminded of this old horticultural history and where you can still pick a cucumber or tomato. But it is also a relaxed place where, in bad weather, you can read a book by the wood-burning stove, have a cup of coffee or play a game.
Sailing to the Vinkeveense Plassen
From our campsite, you can sail to the famous Vinkeveense Plassen in 20 minutes via a beautiful nature route. Take a dip in the clearest swimming water in the Netherlands and enjoy your picnic lunch on one of the sandy beaches. Don’t have your own boat? No problem, in addition to SUPs, Buitenleven also has boats for rent. Setting sail directly from your own camping spot sounds wonderful, doesn’t it? Would you like to bring your own boat? That is also possible, provided the boat is no higher than 1 metre (to be able to pass under the bridge that gives access to the campsite). Please contact us in advance to discuss the possibilities.
