in the countryside
Camping with sheep as neighbours makes you happy. These curious animals love to wish you good morning when you step outside. Wide views, drifting clouds, grass under your feet: that's the charm of camping in the countryside. Set up your tent or caravan by the water or in another beautiful spot on this former vegetable farm and enjoy the Vinkeveen countryside. You will have plenty of space, as the pitches vary between 115 and 155 m².
Sleeping on an old nursery
The 40 camping spots are spread across a former vegetable nursery. In this natural environment, you can find a spot by the water or among the trees and perhaps sleep on the former chicory or cauliflower field. Since 1925, the Van Schaik family has been providing the residents of Vinkeveen and the surrounding area with the tastiest vegetables. The nursery was passed down from father to son for three generations. Grandfather Leo’s love and care for his crops made the vegetables taste even better. Customers came from far and wide to Vinkeveen especially for Grandfather Leo’s delicious vegetables. The campsite subtly reminds you of this old grower’s history.
Picking cucumbers in Grandpa Leo’s greenhouse
Grandpa Leo’s Greenhouse is being restored with love and respect. It is a historic place where you are subtly reminded of this old horticultural history and where you can still pick a cucumber or tomato. But it is also a relaxed place where you can enjoy a meal you have prepared yourself in bad weather, play a game or read a book.
Children
Children want to explore and play, and there is plenty of space for that at the campsite. In the small play forest, children can climb and build huts, and at set times, bread rolls and marshmallows are baked over the campfire. The campsite is surrounded by water. The swimming area is on the right-hand side of the site. Enjoy swimming, canoeing or stand-up paddleboarding with 100% water fun guaranteed.
